Why do we need salvation?

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

So, I sin. What is so bad about that?

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Yes, the wages of sin is death. After we die and leave this world we go before God for judgment. God is without sin and cannot allow it. That is why His only Son, Jesus had to die for our sins.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

So, how do I get eternal life?

Romans 10:9-10

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Aren't there other ways to get eternal life?

Acts 4:12

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
 

If you see that you are a sinner and are going to die because of that sin, and you believe that Jesus died FOR you and your sins, ask Him right now to forgive your sins, tell Him that you want to live for Him and follow Him.

1 John 1:9

But if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
